About this globe

Jupiter's cloud tops, stitched from images taken by the Cassini spacecraft as it flew past in 2000. The stripes are jet streams: pale zones of rising gas and dark belts of sinking gas, racing in opposite directions.

The Great Red Spot is a storm wider than Earth that has been blowing for at least 190 years.
